BU adds another chapter into their history books
Apparently you can achieve an Online Music degree with a Master of Music in music education from Boston University. Boston University is holding a graduation ceremony for the first class of online degree students. These students were located throughout the United States as far away as Portland, Oregon.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome this first class of online graduates into the Boston University community,” said Professor Andre de Quadros, Director of the School of Music. “This program has come to embody so much more than simply bestowing new degrees. Through the process we have planted the seeds of a new and vibrant global music community, raising the level of music instruction in the process. I hope that these graduates maintain the networks built over the past 18 months for the continued benefit of music education.”
Many of the 27 graduates of this program felt the experience was an excellent decision. To obtain a Masters in Music education online allowed them to explore many new ideas and styles of music that they were not accustomed to.
Rhonda Ringering, a professional pianist near Portland, “I appreciated meeting professionals from around the world, and I felt I learned a lot about many areas of music I never explored before.”
If you have ever thought about getting a Masters in Music but felt you didn’t have the time then perhaps a degree online through Boston University may be just the program for you.
