Endless amount of changes
Ok, so you are at the school that you have chosen and it is time to sink or swim right? Well don’t let anxiety get the best of you. So what if after 3 weeks you hate the major you chose. I am sure you have heard all about the stats on how many people actually graduate with what they started with or the total number of times they have switched majors. Take it from someone that switched majors seven times, it’s great for diversity sake.
This is the reason you have to take all those Gen Ed classes. I mean what if you were in business but your true calling is in helping people in a medical sense. Perhaps that biology class you took really got you going about becoming a Doctor again.
You should probably talk to as many people in the field you are trying to obtain a degree for. Do not let your friends influence you by what they are majoring in. The best option is always seeking out guidance from professionals that are where you would like to be. Nothing works better than first hand accounts of what it takes to be something in a particular field.
Don’t let the major you chose bring your college experience down. There is always time to change and hell, by the time you are 30 you will probably be doing something completely different anyway. “These reports you handed in, it’s almost as if you have no business training at all. I don’t know what this is supposed to be.”
