The Internet Wins
Afraid that obtaining an online degree won’t be looked at in the same light as a traditional degree from a campus school. Employers are accepting online degrees with more frequency.
Employers are beginning to factor in the school’s reputation, skills achieved, and experience as most important factors to employment.
Nearly 62% of employers surveyed have a positive view of online degree programs. The quality of online classes, in some cases, has been viewed as the same if not of a higher standard than classroom instruction.
Dr. Benjamin Akande, dean of Webster’s School of Business and Technology has this to say, “I think that employers nowadays are also doing their due diligence, and they are recognizing that online education is probably a little bit more challenging than in-class education.”
By earning an online degree it also shows dedication. Being self-reliant and having the will power to finish the degree as a solo effort without having strict deadlines proves to future employers that you are dedicated and self-motivated.
When testing the waters as to where to get your degree is sure to consider a degree online. It won’t hold you back and may even prove greater than a campus school.
